Charred wood 'Yakisugi' and painted reclaimed pallet coffee table on Hairpin legs. Re-purposed pallet reassembled, cleaned and hand planed. Wood charred using ancient Japanese techniques in order to protect the wood and bring out the natural grain. The table was painted and stained between the grain to create a truly unique and characterful piece.Finished with 3 coats of linseed oil and 3 coats of beeswax with industrial style hairpin legs. No chemicals, lacquers or varnishes were used.
